NIGHT EMPERORS INSIDE OUT ACTION

INSIDE OUT is a global art initiative founded by the world-famous artist JR. My project NIGHT EMPERORS became an INSIDE OUT ACTION: On January 14th, 2021, my friends and I displayed fifty photographic portraits of the NIGHT EMPERORS - bartenders, workers, patrons, artists, hopeless insomniacs, and all the nightlife people - on 254 E 2nd St. With this outdoor exhibition, my goal is to remind the world what nightlife truly is. The night is the reason why so many people wake up every day. The NIGHT EMPERORS are the culture, the arts, the pulse of this city that never sleeps.— THEY ARE ESSENTIAL. We don't need to sleep to dream.

INSIDE OUT, led by JR, embraced my NIGHT EMPERORS project—a celebration of nightlife's vibrant community. Fifty colossal photo-portraits adorned the Lower East Side on January 14th, 2021, igniting the authentic spirit of nightlife and honoring its essential role in inspiring countless individuals. These NIGHT EMPERORS embody the city's culture, artistry, and rhythm. They are essential. We don't need to sleep to dream.
